We talk a lot about the people who made the wrong choice. Today, I want to talk about someone who got it right.
A young father, desperate for parnassah, was offered a highly lucrative deal by an attorney to generate telemarketing leads for a movie production company. The attorney assured him it was “one hundred percent legal.”
But it felt wrong. It felt like taking money from people under false pretenses. Despite the intense pressure and his own financial desperation, he walked away. He said, “I am not comfortable with this.”
A few years later, he Googled the attorney's name. The man was sitting in federal prison for that exact scheme.
Nugget: Your internal compass is your best defense mechanism. If an opportunity feels wrong, trust your gut, walk away, and never look back. It might cost you a paycheck, but it will save your life.
