I want to tell you about a man who lost his freedom because he did a favor. He let an acquaintance run money through his business account. The money didn’t come from him, and it didn’t go to him. He didn’t earn a penny. He was just the “FedEx.”

It is in our DNA to help each other out. But in business, blind trust is a severe liability.

It can be tempting to say “I'm just like the FedEx guy - what I'm transporting is not my business”. Until the FBI knocks. Because the justice system disagrees, there is no innocent bystander in a conspiracy. A woman who thought she was just helping someone out learned the hard way. “Don't accept packages you haven't packed yourself.”

Nugget: The next time someone asks you to move money or transport something, ask the hard questions. Protect yourself.
