One of the most heartbreaking things we hear in our interviews with clients isn't greed. It's exhaustion.
One man told us, "I never aspired to be rich, all I wanted to do was scrape by, pay tuition, mortgage... and make weddings for my children without needing to accept charity". The pressure to keep up with the basic expectations of our community's lifestyle can feel suffocating.
Faced with those overwhelming numbers, good people sometimes cross a legal line just to keep their heads above water. They justify it by saying they are only trying to provide for their families.
But when the gavel falls, the family is the one that pays the ultimate price. The shame, the legal fees, and the absence of a parent create a trauma that, sadly, ripples for generations. We witness this every day.
Nugget: If the cost of maintaining your lifestyle requires you to bend the law, something must change. Scaling back is painful but it can not be compared to the pain of being ripped away from the very family you are doing this for in the first place.
Warmly,
